Experimental Testing of Wood Framed Walls with Available Materials in Costa Rica

This paper presents a research study about timber shear walls, with materials commercially available in Costa Rica. With new developments engineered timber, the Rican Seismic Code included chapter on structures, defining diaphragms and walls as part of lateral resisting system.
